this plunger is so much beefier than even my original rok plunger which wore out in a matter of 2 months (heavy use) I purchased a replacement from another place and within 2 weeks it had warped to the point that when placed on a flat surface it would wobble and forget about making an espresso thankfully my grinder was so dull at that point it wasn't able to grind fine enough to produce the necessary back pressure for the process. Bought a new grinder here as well which is awesome! So in summary buy it and keep an extra plunger on hand so you don't have to wait to have a decent cup of coffee!
These Presso plungers are already reinforced with oversize wings supporting the center panel! We will update their description now - thanks for the notice!
Please add some small fillets to this part on the edge where the vertical part meets the round horizontal part; my last one failed from fatigue, not catastrophic overloading.
I think this important part should be made out of aluminium, even if it lowers the temperature of the water poured through it.
